Hi! I’m Brian Gerald Murphy, an activist, author, and entrepreneur. I teach lessons in movement making through free daily dispatches and a premium letter. I’m the co-creator of Legalize Trans* and online strategies manager for GLSEN.
The name of this site is Work In Progress, which raises the question*, “What is in progress?” Quite a lot is in progress, actually. Since many of you are keen to keep up with the everyday adventures of the plans and adventures I’m working on, I will begin posting a bit more about key projects that are in progress. Here’s what they are.

Brian Gerald lives in constant tension between his left & right brains. Brian studied cinematic arts at the University of Southern California; produced two award-winning films, one starring a Golden Globe nominated actress; directed over 200 hours of television; and hosted a nightly movie review series in LA36.
After a stint in television, Brian founded Be Gee M, a digital media strategy & production business to equip activists & non-profits with the technological tools to succeed in changing the world. He co-created Legalize Trans in 2010.
Brian currently resides in New York City (most of the time).
